We open Arkevia to retrieve a payslip, and the page remains blank. The browser is spinning, the password is rejected, or the portal displays a generic error. This scenario often occurs for employees using the digital safe set up by their employer. The causes are rarely related to the platform itself: in most cases, the problem is resolved on the browser side or with the credentials.
Cache and script blockers: the primary cause of blockage on Arkevia
Before considering a password issue, we start by clearing the browser cache. Recent tightening of privacy policies on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari causes conflicts with Arkevia’s session cookies. An expired or partially blocked cookie is enough to prevent authentication.

Browser extensions pose a similar problem. An ad blocker or anti-tracker can intercept the scripts necessary for loading the login page. We temporarily disable these extensions, then reload the page. If the login works, we add the Arkevia domain to the whitelist of the relevant extension.
When resolving login issues on Arkevia, this manipulation of the cache and extensions resolves the situation in most cases. Clearing the cache and disabling blocking extensions should be the first reflex, before any password reset.

Testing with a different browser
If clearing the cache is not enough, we open a private browsing window or try another browser. This test helps isolate the problem: if Arkevia works in private browsing, the issue indeed comes from an extension or a local setting.

Arkevia password rejected: distinguish between input error and locked account
The Arkevia portal temporarily locks an account after several failed login attempts. This security mechanism protects payroll data and HR documents, but it also blocks users who enter the wrong password.
Checking the Caps Lock and the numeric keypad remains the most underestimated action. On a shared corporate keyboard or a laptop connected to an external screen, the Caps Lock key is often inadvertently activated.
If the password is indeed correct and the account remains inaccessible, we use the reset procedure provided on the login page. The reset link arrives at the email address associated with the account, the one the employer provided when creating the safe. If this address is no longer active, it is necessary to contact the HR department or the employer account administrator.
Initial credentials provided by the employer
During the first login, the credentials are generally provided by the payroll or human resources department. We receive an activation email with a temporary link. If this link has expired without being used, requesting a resend of the activation email from the HR department is the only solution. Arkevia does not allow account creation without an invitation from the employer.
Phishing and fake Arkevia login portals
HR portals like Arkevia have become targets for phishing campaigns. Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr has strengthened its prevention content on this topic, and ANSSI emphasizes verifying domains before entering credentials.
A fake portal mimics the appearance of Arkevia and collects the entered passwords. The signals to check:
- The URL in the address bar must exactly match the official domain, without extra characters or spelling mistakes
- The SSL certificate (padlock in the address bar) must be valid and issued for the correct domain
- Any email containing a link to Arkevia must come from an address consistent with the company or provider, not from a generic domain
Never click on a login link received via SMS: Arkevia does not communicate through this channel. In case of doubt, access the portal by typing the address directly into the browser.

Arkevia login on mobile: specific constraints
Accessing Arkevia from a smartphone poses problems not encountered on a computer. Mobile browsers handle cookies differently, and some mobile network configurations block secure connections to corporate portals.
Switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi (or vice versa) is sometimes enough to unblock the situation. Feedback on this point varies according to operators and corporate firewall configurations.
- Use the phone’s default browser rather than a third-party browser, which may sometimes impose additional restrictions
- Check that the operating system is up to date, as older versions may no longer support the security protocols required by Arkevia
- Avoid connections via a personal VPN, which can change the IP address and trigger a server-side security block
Prioritizing Wi-Fi to access the digital safe limits problems related to network restrictions from mobile operators.
Document retention and compliance: what Arkevia protects
Beyond the connection, Arkevia serves as a digital safe for archiving payslips and HR documents with probative value. ANSSI and CNIL oversee the obligations for the retention and integrity of these dematerialized documents.
An employee who loses access to their account does not lose their documents. The files remain archived and accessible after access is restored. The employer cannot delete documents already deposited in the employee’s safe, in accordance with legal retention obligations.
If the company changes providers or ceases operations, the employee retains the right to access their digital safe. This guarantee is part of the French regulatory framework on the dematerialization of payslips.
Most blockages on Arkevia can be resolved in a few minutes with the right reflexes: cache cleared, extensions disabled, credentials verified. For more complex situations, the employer’s HR department remains the only contact capable of unlocking an account or resending an invitation.
